5 little speckled frogs

Four little speckled frogs

There are froglets and a really small frog in the Nursery. In celebration of this fantastic event we’d like to show you our video of us singing about frogs. We made the masks in class and then went down to the allotment to re-enact the story.

Thank you to Miss Ledwick for taking time to make the video.

To Miss Wilson from Acorn Nursery

Dear Miss Wilson,

Thank you for the letter, map and leaflets that you sent to us. We have put them on the wall for everyone to see! Theo says thank you for his letter and map, he loved it and took it home to show his mum and dad.

Roger the Bugman came to us too, we really liked him. Most of us held an insect. Today Miss Taylor is making a chart of our favourite minibeasts. At the moment butterflies are the favourite!
Iris has got a new puppy called Sid that you would love. Poppy had two little chicks to stay over at her house last night from her daddy’s school. We have had some lovely Year 6’s to help us this week, they have been very nice. We have had Millie Gibbon’s big brother Cameron here yesterday and today. We have had lots of birthdays since you’ve been gone. Lots of people are now 4!

We are very excited about our trip to Tatton Park. Miss Taylor and Miss Opdam are very excited as it’s their first nursery trip. Mrs Tomlinson and Mrs Fraser are looking forward to it too.

We’d all like to come and see you on our next nursery trip, can we come to Australia? We want to come on the plane but Keaten said he’d like to come on a boat! We all miss you very much and hope we hear from you again soon!
Lots of love from Acorn Nursery xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Miss Wilson,
We got your letter today and the map. Tomorrow, we will go out and follow the map and try to dig our way to Australia even if it is raining.

We enjoyed Bug Box but some of us were a bit scared. But we still all looked at the bugs because we are all brave. Some of us touched the bugs. They were tickly.

We are going to Tatton Park and Farm on 24th June. Our mums say we can go.

Our frogs have legs. HOORAY!!!!

We had summer yesterday. It was very hot. We drank lots of water and took off our jumpers. And we put suncream om and hats. Some of us had sunglasses on.

We LOVE you and miss you very much. Here is a kiss from each of us.

Today we had the presentations of certificates in each Nursery for those who had completed 3 or more activities. Thank you to all the parents who delayed leaving until they had received their reward. Well done for producing such terrific art work and supporting the staff and the children in such a warm manner.
